"Only people who are capable of loving strongly can also suffer great sorrow, but this same necessity of loving serves to counteract their grief and heals them.” -Leo Tolstoy
"Healing Takes Both Time and Attention. Much like the Branches in Our Tree of Life" -Dr. Wilkes
The Tree of Life symbolizes one's person's personal growth and how different experiences shape them into who they are.
Much like trees, each person's life filled with experiences is as unique as the trees branches sprouting at different points and in different directions.
Just as the branches of a tree strengthen and grow upwards to the sky, we too grow stronger, striving for greater knowledge, wisdom and healing as we move through life.
The goal is to get back to the roots and help build and improve the individuals' confidence and mental state through providing therapy in a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
Healing From the Roots, is challenging the individual to find resilience in their emotions daily.
This is measured through a two-way discussion.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths.
We achieve this by providing therapy in a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. And promise to be there for you every step of your journey.
My goal is to help you grow from your grief, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
You can put off the pain, but you cannot not experience it. Deferred pain gains interest.
People ask how you can be grateful for losing someone, and I tell them you are not… You are grateful you had them.
What we can accomplish, what you can expect going from Grief to Gratitude.

Dr. Wilkes is such a Blessing in my Life!"
"I think I have got to be one of the luckiest people on this earth in order to have met Dr. Wilkes and that our lives have touched for a special reason; she has helped me through my grief more than I thought was possible. When my dad and then son died, she gave my life meaning again, which I thought that I would live without forever.
Over the years, I tried other counselors, but Dr. Wilkes, was by far the best and she continues to be a blessing in my life, and many others, and those who she has worked with have been deeply affected by her expertise, generosity and loving heart."
"Thank you for being my counselor and, most importantly, I feel blessed to call you friend too." -NANCY C.
“We never lose our loved ones. They accompany us; they don’t disappear from our lives. We are merely in different rooms.” -Paulo Coelho
