Fees and Facts

Fees

My fee for individual therapy is $145/session.  I have a limited number of "pay what you can" spots available for clients in financial need. I also use Zelle and Venmo. I offer a first time complimentary 1/2 hour session.

I am not credentialed with any insurance company and are not able to accept payments through insurance. However, I may be able to provide a super bill that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Click here to read more about super bills and how they work.

Facts

What can I expect in a session?
That's a good question and one that people frequently have before they begin. As you can imagine, therapy is a lot of talking. You get to decide what we focus on each session and can tell me if we start talking about something that is too uncomfortable.

How many sessions will I need and how long do they last?
Everyone’s therapy journey is different. Some people only want to address a single issue and can make progress toward their goals in a short timeframe. Other people want to do longer, more in-depth work and like to incorporate therapy into their self-care or self-development. The average session is 50 minutes.

How often do I need to schedule Therapy?
Again, everyone’s therapy journey is different. We usually start with weekly sessions to build momentum toward achieving your goals. Once you’ve made some progress, we can adjust the frequency of sessions based on your own individual needs.

Teletherapy, On- Line or In-Office Therapy?
Yes, at this time we are only providing On-Line, teletherapy services. Even when we return to in-person services in an office, we will still offer a teletherapy and on-Line option for clients.

Cancellation Policy?
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so within 24 hours of your appointment time to avoid a late cancellation or no show charge. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full rate of the session. You can contact my office by text, or phone to cancel or reschedule a session.

Depression, anxiety and grief will show up in our lives, but they don’t have to remain there.

Grief is a universal human experience...but it can feel downright debilitating. You may oscillate between feeling numb, angry, and confused, and can feel completely isolated in your grief.

November 16, 2021, was the most devastating day of my life! I received a telephone call from the coroner that my son, had passed away and my heart stopped.

One of my first telephone calls was to Dr. Kimber Wilkes. She personally walked the path of losing her son a few years before and although I have always been strength to others in many situations, I knew that I was not able to take this journey alone.
Losing a child is like losing a limb; a parent is supposed to outlive their children, a child passing away first is out of order and is not supposed to happen that way.

We lose our parents, and the pain is great; we lose a sibling and our loss is deep; however, losing a child is a part of you and the hole can never be filled again.

We are taught that when a person passes, they are with our Lord, they are again whole, and they suffer no more pain; but when they pass the questions flood your mind; your heart is broken, and the emotions are overwhelming!

Dr. Wilkes listened to every word spoken thru the tears, anger, pain and disbelief then offered the answers to questions that I had no answers to. She understood my grief and spoke all the words that I so needed to hear many times over.

Her soft manner and wealth of knowledge in her words reached across two states and helped me walk this path with her by my side.
Her gift of touching your heart is God given; the truth and sincerity in her words that she speaks at just the right time continue to ring in my head each and every time I fall back in the hole of darkness and despair.
It has been many months now since my beautiful son has left my side and some days it takes time to pull my heart and mind into a good place but each time, I hear Dr. Wilkes words and feel her strength my by side.

She was my saving grace and I know that if I need to reach out to her, that she will be there"  -Ava

"God strengthens you~  So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. God has promised us His strength. He will never give you a trial you are unable to handle."   -Isaiah 41:10
